About Us
If you had told me years ago, when I was living in Los Angeles working in the music industry while my husband attended the American Film Institute, and making movies, that one day I would find myself obsessed with knitting, discover an entire community of fiber enthusiasts and open a yarn shop in Massachusetts-I would have looked at you like you had just landed from another planet. Now Purl & Anchor stands as proof that sometimes the most unexpected paths lead to the most fulfilling destinations. Knitting has connected me with an amazing community of fiber artists and crafters. For what may have started as a personal passion could not have flourished with the incredible support of my family.
I especially want to thank my incredible husband Bryan, his multi-faceted talents are truly invaluable. Little did he know he would become well-versed in yarn weights and fibers.
I would be remiss if I did not thank the two women whom I'm blessed to call my friends-Christina and Sue. They have been my unwavering support, my sounding board, always there for me no matter what through this entire process. I honestly do not know what I did to deserve them.
