Sock Blank Painting w/ Christina

Turn yarn into art before it ever reaches your needles! In this creative and colorful workshop, you’ll use professional acid dyes to paint, stamp, stencil, splatter, or write directly onto a knitted sock blank.

Create a landscape, abstract design, favorite motif, or even a hidden message.  Once dyed and heat-set, the sock blank can be unraveled and knit into a truly one-of-a-kind pair of socks, a hat, mittens, or another special project.

We’ll explore color theory, dye application techniques, and design planning while encouraging plenty of artistic experimentation. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or simply love playing with color, this class offers a fun opportunity to create yarn that is uniquely yours.

Class Fee Includes:

• Knitted sock blank
• Professional acid dyes
• Use of stamps, stencils, brushes, and other tools
• All dyeing supplies and equipment
• Instruction and handouts
• Project and pattern inspiration

No drawing or dyeing experience is necessary. Bring your imagination and prepare to create a skein of yarn that is as unique as you are.
