Solar Dyeing w/ Christina

Capture the colors of summer and harness the power of the sun to create your own hand-dyed yarn! In this fun and creative workshop, you’ll learn the basics of solar dyeing as we transform undyed yarn into vibrant, one-of-a-kind skeins using the warmth of the sun and professional acid dyes.

Choose from a variety of yarn weights to suit your next project and experiment with color placement, layering, and blending techniques to create truly unique results. Every skein becomes a colorful work of art, ready to be knit or crocheted into a special handmade piece.

We’ll cover yarn preparation, dye application, color planning, and finishing techniques, and you’ll leave with beautiful hand-dyed yarn and the confidence to continue exploring dyeing at home.

Pattern suggestions for shawls, socks, hats, cowls, and other projects will be provided to help inspire your finished creation.

No previous dyeing experience is necessary. Come ready to play with color and let the sun do the work!
